New Case Study: Western Governors University (WGU) Adopts CIW into IT Degree Programs
Western Governors University (WGU), a non-profit online university with more than 10,000 active students, chose CIW exams and courseware for its IT degree program assessment and content. "We wanted an entry-level exam that would diagnose the basic skill sets in IT. CIW Foundations did that," said Gwen Britton, Information Technology Programs Coordinator at WGU. "We also needed a generic assessment in designing Web sites. For this, the CIW Site Designer exam was a perfect match." By embedding standardized CIW Web technology certification exams and curriculum to provide its assessment and courseware needs, WGU found a comprehensive and affordable solution to increasing its IT program's effectiveness.
