CIW Articulation and Credit
The Departments of Education in 13 states have endorsed the CIW program as the official standard curriculum for IT and Web Technologies classes. Of those, three states currently offer high school students the opportunity to earn college credit for passing CIW certification exams.
Much like a traditional Advanced Placement® class and exam, the CIW certification program can help students prepare for the next level of their education by allowing them to earn advanced standing or college-level credit toward their future degrees.
The following states have Articulation and Credit agreements with CIW:
Arkansas, Tennessee and Virginia - High school students in these states can take advantage of the agreement by passing their certification exams and applying for credit through their state CIW Authorized Academic Partner (AAP).
CIW is working to develop Articulation and Credit agreements with more states. If you currently live in a state that does not offer higher-level education credit, you can still take classes toward CIW certification to build your skills for the future.
Regardless of which state you currently live, several training options are available to help you prepare for CIW certification exams and your professional future.
