This course is designed to give students practical, employable, coding skills to help prepare them to entry-level position in the growing field of web application development. The curriculum includes fundamentals learning in HTML5, CSS, Ruby, Rails, SQL, PHP, and other web development technologies. The course will include lecture, class discussion, labs and projects, guest speakers and portfolio building. The portfolio will be used to demonstrate to prospective employers, the students’ proficiency in coding, and their ability to develop useful web applications.

  • End date: December 8, 2017 
  • Length: 22 weeks, 330 hours
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m.

You are eligible for this program if:

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • Your income is low to moderate
  • You are eligible to work in the U.S.
  • You graduated from high school or earned a GED
  • You are able to use computers at least at a basic level
  • You are highly motivated and willing to work hard to get ahead

Class starts in Oakland on July 10th.
