Under general supervision, the Enterprise Web & SharePoint Developer manages the court’s web and SharePoint environments, design, deployment, development and maintenance activities, including performing testing and quality assurance of SharePoint applications, web sites and web applications.
This single class, exempt position is responsible for maintaining the court’s web environment including updating of content and monitoring internet and intranet performance.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a closely related field; and
Experience: Two years’ experience in creating and maintaining innovative, dynamic and visually appealing web sites and content. Proficiency in relevant web programming languages [including HTML, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), Javascript, XSLT].
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft C# and integration with automated management systems such as Laserfiche is preferred.
Web design experience that is equitable to a bachelor's degree that could include an associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in web development using JavaScript, HTML, JSP, jQuery, Dojo, or a closely related field or other directly related experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job and/or license or certifications including, but not limited to Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW); experience developing and supporting public facing web and mobile solutions; experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration tools and solutions; experience with enterprise middleware solutions and systems integration; experience with SAP technologies and tools; recent experience with .Net enterprise application development tools and languages in N-tier web environments; recent experience providing development and administration of a Microsoft SharePoint installation and providing SharePoint based solutions to corporate users; demonstrated ability to work as effectively part of a team and consistently meet project timelines, overcome obstacles, and ensure quality solutions are delivered and supported according to Riverside Superior Court and industry best practices. Must be able to communicate effectively and proactively, both verbally and in writing, with both technical staff and business partners to accomplish objectives and build successful working relationships.
License or Certifications: Microsoft Certifications (MCSD, MCSE, etc.), Adobe Certifications (ACE) or related Web certifications are preferred but not required.
Microsoft Sharepoint 2013; programming languages [HTML, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), Javascript, XSLT], Adobe tools (Dreamweaver and .pdfs); principles and practices of web site design and development; web administrative tools; eCommerce platforms; system security requirements; graphic editing and video programs like Photoscape, SnagIt and Camtasia; ListServ email application; website security access.
Publish, modify and maintain web content; perform routine tests of web applications; train end-users on intranet content management; learn new software and tools for website development; learn cloud-based document management systems; establish and maintain relationships with all levels of staff, judicial officers and vendors; work with confidential information; manage multiple tasks and projects; work independently with established timelines; create videos for court’s website; consistently attend trainings for new and updated programing and applications; analyze website testing results; understand general website structure; communicate website issues to users in a timely manner.
The employee must have the ability to transport himself/herself between or among different work locations when needed to carry out job-related essential functions. If traveling in own vehicle or court vehicle, you must possess a valid California Driver License.
Strength, dexterity, coordination and vision to use a video display terminal and keyboarding, including entry, for long periods of time. Hearing and speaking ability to communicate clearly on the telephone and at a public counter. Standing for extended periods of time. Dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper; occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. such as files, stacks of papers, reference and other materials. Moving from place to place within an office; some reaching for items on high shelves and above and below desk level.
Generally clean work environment with limited exposure to conditions such as dust fumes, odors or noise. Daily use of a desktop computer, printer and other office equipment. Work consists of extended periods of sitting at a desk.
