The CIW Database Design Specialist certification exam assesses vendor-neutral database design for individuals planning to pursue product-focused database specialization. This exam will assess database knowledge and understanding, including Structured Query Language (SQL) and database optimization through normalization.
The CIW Database Design Specialist course* prepares candidates to take the CIW Database Design Specialist exam, which if passed earns the individual the Database Design Specialist certification.
It is recommended to earn the CIW Data Analyst Specialist certification in the CIW Web and Mobile Design Series prior to preparing for the CIW Database Design Specialist certification exam.
*The courseware is not required to sit for the certification exam.
Candidates who also pass the CIW Database Design Specialist exam and CIW Advanced HTML5 & CSS3 Specialist exams can earn the advanced CIW Web Development Professional certification in addition.
