The Modeling and Simulation Course* course provides technical skill proficiency and includes competency-based applied learning through the use of hands-on labs and the development of a multi-year portfolio. Students will build academic knowledge, enhance higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, develop leadership and collaboration abilities and refine general employability and occupation-specific skills. The content includes but is not limited to practical experiences in modeling and simulation conceptualization, design, storyboarding, development methodologies, essential programming techniques, prototype development, production processes and implementation challenges. Science, Computer Programming, Math, 2D and 3D Art are embedded throughout the program to emphasize the relationship between these areas and the field of Modeling and Simulation.
*The courseware is not required to sit for the certification exam.
