The Marine Robotics Specialist certification* validates foundational knowledge and practical skills in marine robotics, including remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs), programming, autonomous navigation, sonar systems, marine surveying, and data processing. Learners develop skills in configuring and operating marine robotic systems, programming vehicle behaviors and autonomous missions, and collecting, processing, and validating sonar and sensor data. The certification also covers mission planning, troubleshooting, bathymetric mapping, technical reporting, safety, offshore and subsea ROV operations, and emerging technologies such as AI-assisted inspection and digital twins.
Designed to connect robotics, programming, marine technology, data analysis, and real-world offshore applications, the certification prepares learners for continued education and career pathways in marine robotics, ROV/AUV operations, hydrographic surveying, subsea engineering, offshore energy, inspection, and related maritime technologies.
